Bank levies

I am an account holder for a checking account with my fiance, a bank levy was put on the account against him, is this legal since it is my account?

Somewhere along the line your finance was sued for a debt. He lost. Since the bank account is no longer yours alone but yours joint, any funds are fair game. Get your money out of his account.
