a man called me claiming to be an attorney. he said that there was a warrant out for my arrest because I was being sued by a pay day loan company. Here's the thing, I never received money from any lender. as a matter of fact, i asked them not to call me anymore. so he prceeded to say that i had to pay 896.00 via western union in 1 hr. i told him i would not b able to do so. he then asked what would i be able to pay and when. he said i had a certain time to pay a certain amount of money or my case would be "downloaded" and my social security number and name would be given to local newspapers. he told me my address, and this frightened me a little. what do I do?

No need to get scared. This is just some idiot trying to scam you. Debts are civil, not criminal. You cannot be arrested for not repaying a debt. Just ignore the calls from now on and report the name and the number to the county cops.
