I have recieved a few calls from this collection agency, but they use local numbers, when I located info on them in the forum and a google search it says they are in PA. Can they mask their number to appear as a local number??? I have not read anything good about this collection agency. They are not reporting anything on my credit report nor have I have recieved any letters from this company.

I found what there were calling for. It is a credit card debit with merrick bank for 946. I know the debt is mine. Should I send a validation letter anyways.

The numbers they call me from I googled and white page and there is no address or anything for them. I am not sure why they calling me, because they are not reporting on my credit , nor on my credit report as an accound in collection. From what I read about them they collect on old charged off debt. They have not sent anything to my address with a validation. Should I send a cease and desist to them? that Is what I was thinking about doing, because until I get anything in writting I will not be answering their calls.

You're right. FBCS is based in PA. Several lawsuits have been filed against this collection agency. It is said that they have broken the FDCPA laws too. I don't know if they have a branch in your state. Why are they calling you?
