Has anyone everyone ever heard of Plain Green Loans? Are they licensed to do business in the State of Ohio?

I'm from Ohio as well and I just got done dealing with this company successfully. No they are not licensed, they are an illegal tribal lender, send them out letters, I sent mine both fax AND email so I made sure it got to them, and sure enough couple days later I got a letter back from them telling me they were writing off my account (this actually just happened today) :)

Plain Green is a tribal lender affiliated to some tribe on the Rocky Boy Indian Reservation. They are not subject to state and federal regulation and therefore cannot be dealt with as easily as any other unlicensed or illegal PDL. Since you mention that they have informed you of their intent to write off the loan, I'd recommend that you keep an eye on your credit report. They just might sell off the debt to a collection agency.

Tribal loans are very easy to deal with!! They are illegal..plain and simple. The do not follow state or federal laws and it is easy to tell them to simply blow off.
