I have a problem, In 2004 I took out a few payday loans, apparently more than I could handle, they are all internet, unfortunately I do not remember all of their names. The payday loans were taking every penny out of my account and it still wasn't enough so my account went negative. In February of 2005 my bank made me close my account and I had to take a loan from my bank to pay them back. I opened a new account and had my checks sent there. In July of 2007 I got a call from Robert Matthews stating that there was a warrant that was going to be issued for my arrest if I didn't pay the amount was for 1700. I asked for verification and he just stated that he was going to have charges pressed against me for internet fraud, bank fraud, and check fraud. I was scared and sent him a money order. He said he would send me my resolution packet in 7 to 10 business days. Come to find out he works for "US National Bank. All said and done February of this year I received a phone call from a Karen Richardson stating that she needed my attorney's information, I told her I didn't have one and she said that her clients were looking to press charges against me for internet fraud, bank fraud, and check fraud. She asked me how I wanted to resolved this, this as for two loans she would not tell me the names of the original loans because the clients did not feel it was necessary to tell me because the had my social security number linking me to some database and at the time they were going to press charges. She told me the amount was 2205 because of interest and fees. I told her I didn't have the whole amout but I could pay 1300 now and make payments. So that is what I am doing. A week and a half later Patrick Davis from US National Bank is calling me threatening me with the same stuff so I had to make payments with him, he said that I would recieve my packet after I made final payment so scared as I was I said yes. Can they actually charge me with fraud? Can I go to jail I am scared, my husband is in the military I do not want him to get in trouble. I am so afraid now to answer the phone, I get panic attacks when it rings? I live in Texas, can anyone help me?

I just got a call from a man who said he was an officer and they were arresting me for fraud today at my house for this payday loan off the internet. I have paid some on this but now he said he is arresting me today. What do I need to do?

first of all no law enforcement agency will call some and tell them they are going go be arrested. I know this as I am retired a retired police officer. turn them over to the FBI, your state police, your Attorney General. If they say they are an attorny"s office find out the name of the firm, the attorney, what city, state they are in. then pull up the statebar web site for that state. you should be able to see if this attorny is real, in good standing, disbarred, etc. above do not give them any money

I too was threatened with arrest if I didn't pay the money back I owe. They even went as far a telling me they were coming to my job. I asked the lady what does the company name means (PCI) and she tells me that she doesn't know even thought she has worked there for years. Her response put me on alert. I think she was a scammer.
