Bank won't agree to deposit only

I wanted to change my bank account to deposit only until my tax return comes in. So i called the bank today and they said no....ugh what now.


My bank put my account on deposit only until I could get my direct deposit moved since my account was compromised with no problem. Had the new account open and as soon as the deposit came in the moved the funds to the new account for me..

banks only do deposit only for negative accounts.if that is the case then do as soaplady advised.

Just as HelpinAZ said, my bank agreed to put it on DEPOSIT ONLY status also once I told them that my information was compromised. Trust me that it seems they would rather do that then have someone disgruntled and coming in complaining about 'I told you so' and demanding that fees get reversed and forms get filled out saying there was a problem..!
