joint jevy

I have a joint account with another person and a levy was filed against him.He does not use the account at all and it is quite obvious whose money is in the account. It says Randy;s Social Security Disability check, and Randy's payroll deposited. That is it for the months. Two payroll checks and my SSDI. They took all the money and I don't think that is right. That money is that account is all mine and it says so. Well we got the situation straightened out and the money was put back into my account but the bank took $100 dollars for legal frees for this person. Again they took my money to pay for his levy. I don't think this is fair nor do I think it should be allowed. I was never notified by the bank of any such action not even a phone call. I don,t understand how they have the right to take another persons money, it just doesn't seem right. I would think that the bank would have to do some kind of accounting to see what is rightfully yours. Do I have a legal obligation to pay his legal fees? I wrote to the bank and asked for the $100 dollars back but no answer yet because I told them I am not pay for someone elses levy on the account. It was not for me so find a way to take it from his other account that soley has his name on it.

I know this is wrong but you
I know this is wrong but you can't help it. I would suggest you to close this account and open a new one. Ask the bank to return the legal fees.
