Lawsuit threats?

Hi everyone,
You all helped me through a payday loan scenario with 4 different lenders back in December. I sent them all the letters, closed my account, etc. I heard back from two asking me just to pay what was left on the principal which was more than I calculated, we went back and forth in emails for a bit and then I didn't hear anything else.
Things are very tight, so I haven't paid either. (120 on one, 90 on the other).
The other two companies didn't reach out at all.
Now for the past month, I have been getting threatening voicemails on my WORK voicemail that they are trying to serve me papers and a court summons. I have never received anything in the mail or any calls on my personal phone. It's two different companies. I know they are collectors, I know they can sue- but would they really sue over less than $200 bucks?
They said they tried to serve me at my house and will serve me at my place of employment next-- how embarrassing! I do not have money (or time, my father is dying!) to waste on a lawyer!

No process server calls in
No process server calls in advance....they are empty threats. Ignore them.
