Timing for confirmation on PIF
Date: Wed, 04/24/2013 - 15:22
I sent them with return receipt emails and some were immediately opened.
The question I have is how long does it take for action to be taken? Should I first expect threatening calls or does the fact I have way overpaid the illegal loans probably mean they'll just stop there......I am hoping for refunds but wont hold my breath.
A great sticky idea would be some general time frame people have had with each illegal lender.
Mine are:
Mesa Financial
Payday Mobility
Vista B
Pixy Cash
Plain Green
VIP
Cash Yes
Cornerstone Financial
Ideal Gelt
American Web Loans
Thanks
I had loans with 2 of these
Cash yes and Plain Green. I had overpaid both. Cash yes never called, but took about a week to respond, and they sent me a paid in full letter with no hassle. Plain green started calling my home # after a few days and has still not replied in writing. I'm about to send them my letter for the 3rd time.
The fact that you have
The fact that you have grossly overpaid these illegal lenders will not stop them from attempting to bleed you dry. Yes, some illegal lenders quit while they are ahead and give you the PIF within the first couple of attempts at squeezing them. The initial threatening calls should start a day after the ACH date. They will continue for a couple of weeks or so and then stop all of a sudden. After that, either they will never call you or you are going to start receiving calls from illegitimate collection agencies as far as 1-5 years down the line.
Stick to your guns, make your offer and do not let them bully you into doing something silly.
should i not answer the calls
should i not answer the calls since in my letters I said i'd only communicate in writing?
Yes, do not answer the phone.
Yes, do not answer the phone. If need be, keep resending letters that you will only communicate in writing, email. Good luck to you!
