I took out a loan in January to pay to get my driver's license reinstated, at the time I was working at Convergy's as a Directv Tech Rep, and was making $10/hr, and grossing over 1K a month. However, due to unforseen circumstances, I had to stop working there. Since then, I have tried working out a payment arrangement with advance me today, but haven't been able to work out a repayment plan with them that I can afford. They have made repeated attempts to collect the payments, as well as the full amount owed, even after I had contacted them, and told them to suspend the autodraft due to the fact that I had no money in my account due to my SSI payment only being 102.50 in march. Because of their repeated attempts to collect from that account, that bank account is now almost $700 in the red.

I have repeatedly spoken with them about my financial situation, and have never told them I was unwilling to pay them back, only requested that they work with me on a pyment arrangement I can afford, that won't nd up taking food out of my child's mouth. they refuse. Just as they refused to stop trying to collect the debt, and got my account in the red.

I spke with 2 of their reps today. the first one, a Mr Wallace, said they could do a repayment of 102.50 every 2 weeks, I asked if there was any way that could be done as a monthly installment instead. He said no. I asked him to ask his supervisor if there were any other options, he refused. I asked to speak with his supervisor, he refused. Then he got all smug and threatened to make an example out of me, stating that he loved making examples out of accounts like mine that refused to pay them back. He continued threatening me with some federal law, which he didn't state, refusing to explain what it was exactly he was threatening to do legally, even after I asked him repeatedly to explain what it was he was going to do, and what he meant by his statement that he loved making examples out of accounts like mine, and his statement that he was going to make an example out of me. he even stated that I was trying to commit fraud.

I have been nothing but honest with this company about my financial situation, and have stated to them many times that I don't dispute the debt, and am willing to repay them what is owed, all I ask is that they work with me on making an agreement I can afford. Instead, I get refusals to answer my questions, refusals to speak with a supervisor in hopes of getting the answers I had requested, and threatened to be made an example out of. Not knowing exactly what that is supposed to mean.

Can you help me please? I owe advance me today, and other bills, but this company, this advance me today loan repayment is the most urgent.

Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing back from you soon.

What state are you in, how much did you borrow and how much have you paid back so far. This is typical BS from an illegal lender. Answer the questions and we can help you further.

since advancemetoday is an illegal lender you not only owe the principle, but anything debited prior to default gets deducted from that.you say you took this ilegal loan in january.when did you default?also as bingonut asked how much was borrowed?chances are you owe little to nothing on this illegal loan.let me give you an example:

you borrow 400.00 from this illegal lender.they debit 100.00 four times.you owe squat.also bingonut is right as threatening fraud is a sign of an illegal piece of crap.try to provide the info requested, and stay off the phone as again you don't even owe the principle as even if one debit is taken that gets deducted.so they will lie threaten, and argue.a waste of your time.last thimg.paying pieces of garbage that break the law not only in illegaly lending, but with threats are not an urgency of any kind.you pay them when you can,and take care of yourself first.

you are sure that is all you paid.if so you owe 214.00 to this illegal lender, and you pay them on your schedule not theirs.they are fortunate to get back the 1000.00.also since your account is in the red see a manage at the bank.not a teller a manager and get the account put on deposit only status.that will buy time to get it back to zero then you close it and open a new account.
