I sent the CA a verification letter in December. In the letter I stated that they must respond within 30 days, as per the example letters. The 30 days would end on 14 Jan 2013. I have not heard anything back until last week, April 24 2013. As this exceeds the 30 days I gave them in December. My question is what do I do now? Are they still able to pursue this since they exceeded the 30 days or should I attempt to settle with them?

there is NO TIME limit for them to respond. they simply must cease collections activities until the do. whether its tomorrow or 12 years from now. doesnt matter

texas has a 30day validation law.so please don't over dramatize as i have never heard of any entity validating after 12 years.
