I am in desperate need of getting out of the payday loan cycle. They just keep adding up. I'm not sure if all these are legal and hope someone can help. I have read the steps of dealing with unlicensed payday lenders and starting to follow that process. I live in Illinois for the payday loans I have listed below.

Star Group- $500 paid $947.50
My Next Paycheck- $500 paid $885
White Hills- $405 paid $739
Mobil Loans- $500 paid $100
Hydra Fund- $300 paid $480
St. Armands- $300 paid $180

The amounts I have paid are to date and have not eliminated any principal off the original loans. Can I get some advice and help with determining if these are legal?
Thanks,

For starters, register with the forums.

Secondly, your loans are all illegal. Follow the link in my signature line for information on how to deal with illegal lenders. You owe principal only...no interest and no fees.

How do I register? I thought I did that when I signed up for a screen name. What are the chances that I will get any money that I already over paid??

Follow the link in soaplady's post. It will give you all the info you need. Lenders have to be licensed in your state. The chances that you will get a refund depends on the lenders. Some will and some won't.
