That is true - They have to be licensed to lend in Iowa

1.Castle Payday-Loan amount $400, finance charge $140. havent payed yet. Tribal - you owe principal only of $400 on your own terms

2.CWB/Cutter group-Loan amount $200, finance charge$60 payed $60, still owe 260$ - I am sure not licensed to lend in Iowa - you owe $140 on your own terms

3.Great Plains lending- Loan amount $300, Paid $191, still owe 220$ - Tribal you owe $109 on your own terms

4.United cash Loan- Loan amount $200, haven't paid yet I am sure not licensed to lend in Iowa - you owe $200 on your own terms

5. Mobiloans, Loan amount $500, Paid $280, still owe $637 Tribal - you owe $220 on your own terms

I just registerd, and i appriciate your answer i will go to my Bank first thing in the morning! i thought alot of them seemed really fishy but diddnt really think twice

Should i email the lenders tonight or wait till after i talk to my bank tommorow??

Hit the bank first if you can get in tomorrow IMO, this way the bank account is blocked because many of these illegal lenders will push through charges once they get the letters.

I sent all emails today and set my bank account to deposit only, revoked all ACH transactions! you guys are really great

Fellow Iowan here that's been through what you have.....Iowa does not license any online payday lenders so all online payday loans are illegal. Only storefront lenders are legal here.
