I just got a phone call...I did not answer. The message left stated "this is Mandy process server with URG. I am in need to serve you a court summons. Since I was unable to contact you, I will be asking local authorities to serve you at your placeof employment or resident. "
Now what? There was a phone number left to call as well as a long case number...do I call...ignore ? I was just feeling OK, and now this has me worried and nervous again..

First of all - no one calls you ahead of time to tell you they are serving you.. Second of all - our courts are a little more behind than this - You have just started this process - so doubt they have it ready to go before a judge already -

If it makes you feel better you can contact your non emergency number for the local authorities tell them what was left on your VM and ask if you are being served. You can check with your local courts if you are being sued..

I would not call them back other than possibly to get and address so that you can send them a Cease and Desist letter via CMRRR. And I would file a complaint with the FTC for the message they left.

you are in illinois right?if so then i would just ignore this bitch as most of illinois(don't know about southern illinois)you must be served by your sheriff in person, and they don't call in advance.also if the case number was more than five characters(which i almost know it was)it is phony.i would call just to tell whatever humanoid waste answers to drop over.a lawbreaking pile of puss this is.you can report them if it will ease your mind, but i guarantee this is a GD scam.
