Help with Lender Responses
Date: Wed, 05/22/2013 - 09:59
I followed the advice on this website. I just sent out letters to my lenders last night. I live in DC and have several payday loans. Below I've listed each lender and info on the responses I've gotten. I need to know what to do about some of their responses. Any help you an give or experience you've had with these lenders would be great.
1. Magnum Cash Advance emailed me back and agreed to my terms for paying back the principal I still owe.
2. 500FastCash emailed me back to tell me that the loan is valid. I asked for a refund since I have paid $2165 over the principal. They said they will not send me a refund, that all the payments were correct. I emailed them back asking them to mark my account paid in full and to send me a letter or email saying the account is paid in full.
Was that the right thing to do? Is there anything else I should do?
3. Plain Green Loans - I logged into my account and it says my bank account is not longer valid. Call customer service to set up payment arrangements.
What is my next step?
4. Great Plains Lending - Same thing happened with them that happened with Plain Green Loans
Continue to email the last
Continue to email the last two...tell them you will not contact them. You will end up arguing with them but stick to your guns.
On Plain Green and Great
On Plain Green and Great Plains - how much did you borrow and how much paid to date?
Great news on Mangum Cash,
Great news on Mangum Cash, remember to pay them via money order mailed CMRRR or prepaid debit card only!!! And with 500FastCash - yes you did the right thing.. demand at minimum they send you a PIF...
Plain Green and Great Plains
For Plain Green, I still owe them $192 in principal. I offered to pay that back within the month by money order.
For Great Plains I've paid the principal back plus $152 in interest. I asked for a refund for the amount I paid in interest.
What is CMRRR?
Sorry - Certified Mail Return
Sorry - Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested - means they sign when it gets delivered.. you get the green card back for verification that they got it..
I don't know if needed on the
I don't know if needed on the ones that are agreeing - they know you know now that they are illegal and they are accommodating. If they should not do what they say they will then most definitely - I really don't know what all they do - I have had a hard time getting my AG's office to do much - but that could be because the AG themselves was being investigated for many things..
well
yes file the complaints anyway as the only way to stop them,or get C&D orders in your state is to file complaints.it doesn't matter that they agreed to anything.they shouldn't be doing business period.@helpinaz that sucks, but being in COOK COUNTY IL i can relate somewhat as our last two governors were so corrupt it's not funny.
Another question
Great Plains lending wrote me back.
"Pursuant to your request, we have removed your contact numbers from our system and we will make no further ACH debits from your account. Your account has been closed from further activity."
I am going to write back asking for a paid in full letter/email. My question is, do all lenders give paid in full letters if I am persistent? If not then do I just keep asking for one indefinitely?
Thanks for your help
That is basically what that
That is basically what that is telling you - no further activity.. I could never get any more from them - print and file away in case need..
