western sky/cash call

this is a question for those of you who have (successfully) dealt with Cash Call.
Last year I took out a $ 5000 with western sky. I live in PA. It got sold to Cash call. I paid about $ 2500 so far and defaulted in January, since I couldn't afford the payments at that time, and I discovered this forum. I succeessfully dealt with my other payday loans, and cash call is the only one left.
Since I defaulted I have received their "exclusive offers" on a monthly basis, where they lower their interest to 94% and extend the life of the loan until 2013. Not happening. Every time I receive one of them, I reply, and tell them no.
Yesterday, I received an email with a settlement offer.
- either pay lump sum of $4058
- or 10 payments of $ 507
The question I have is, has anyone received such a settlement offer, what are the chances of them going down further?
I can not afford to pay the lump sum or the $500 payments.
Any suggestions?

Just like Momofthree, I am still getting the 'settlement' offers but since I too overpaid them, they aren't getting anything until I can figure out how to clear my credit report from them...

I agree with HelpinAZ - mine got sent to Delbert and I went throught he validation process, etc. They sent me a settlement offer for 50% of what they claim the principal balance is....however, since I have already overpaid this illegal loan by $1,100 I am not about to pay that amount. I have submitted a counteroffer of what I am willing to pay (even though I owe them nothing) in exchange for them taking a flying leap off of my credit report. The only leverage they have in collecting on these illegal loans is that Cash Call does screw up your credit report. I am like you, I have successfully dealt with all of my pdls and this is the last one that has been a thorn in my side since August 2012. From everything I have researched they have never sued anyone over the Western Sky originated loans and the only thing they can do is harrass you and hold your credit report hostage to try to get you to pay on these illegal loans. I will fight them tooth and nail until they are off my credit report.

I got those for a few months. and then they turned it over to Delbert Services - their supposed collections... which is the same company - when I faxed my letter to them for debt validation I received a confirmation back that Cash Call had gotten my fax successfully.. So I am waiting it out to see what their next move is myself...

I was looking them up to see if they are the same predatory lender. I too made the mistake of one of their loans when I was caught up in payday loans and falling behind. They just had a person from "washington recovery" call me out of the blue, threatening to file charges against me and serve me. She backed down when I asked if she was saying they were going to file criminal charges as this is a a civil debt issue. I logged onto western sky as my debt is from 2 years ago to see what it is. I am not sure what if anything I owe. It said it was transferred to cashcall. I have just faxed them asking what this is. Funny thing is last month a another indian sounding company out of the blue deposited money INTO my account. My bank forced it back and changed my number. I find the timing interesting as from what I read they then take a huge check back. All illegal.
Send a cease and desist
Send a cease and desist letter to the collection....tell them to bug off, they violated the FDCPA and since western sky is an illegal lender, no one will be getting one more penny.

I am going through the same thing but mne got turned over to kramer and associates. Send c&d letter. It is a,illegal loan only morally respinsible for the prinicipal onyour terms!
