Just received a wage assignment from a pay day loan place in illinois that I took a loan out in 2013 and i thought i paid it off in 2014 they are using that wage assignment from then and i want to know if i can do anything to stop them from taking wages from me

If they're not a legal one,

Do you get any legal notice? No company can garnish the wages without having a court order. At first, they have to notify you by sending a notice. If they didn't follow these steps, then I am afraid they might be illegal. Send them a Letter to Revoke Wage Assignment.
