I have gotten myself into serious financial issues due to me losing my job 6 months ago and my new job is $1,000's less monthly. In order to try and keep up with my monthly expenses I took out some internet payday loans. I soon found myself taking out other payday loans to help cover other payday loans. I know it's stupid and I shouldn't have ever done. Now, I have 10 payday loans and I am currently looking at filing Chapter 13 so I don't lose my house. My question is, first are all of the companies below "legal"?. Second, I have two bank accounts at Chase bank with one of the accounts only handles the payday loans. I am going to close that account to stop ACH payments. I am assuming I should do this "before" I file bankruptcy. What happens next by the payday companies once I do this and how long before I start hearing from their threats? Also, will they merciless hound the references that are on the application? My parents are on some of them and they are elderly and I am concerned they will be called numerous time a day at all hours. Any counsel would be helpful. The following companies are my payday companies and I'm in Texas.
1. Cashnet USD
2. Payday One (soon to be called Risen)
3. Cash Central
4. Speedy Cash
5. Sign My Loan.net
6. Blue Mountain
7.Cash Yes
8. Zip19
9. Plain Green

Thanks

Karobis
