I got a call, the number is 1-213-342-8422.He sounds like hes from India He told me I have charges against my name He claims hes an attorney law of John Goodbe.was very rude. I couldn't understand half of what he was saying. Has anyone heard of this? I tried Google this number nothing came up. Can you please help me find out?

As stated above this is a scam. Anytime someone threatens criminal charges for a debt, they are breaking the law. This "person" is claiming to be a lawyer to scare you into paying something you don't actually owe. You may have filled out an online payday loan application or other online application. Even if you did not accept the loan, you information is out there. Scam companies gather this information and try to scam you. If you did take an online payday loan and found out later it wad illegal, the illegal lender may have "sold" the unpaid debt to an illegal collector. Either way, hang up and block the number if you can. I did on my cell which is the only number the had and have not had any issues as they usually do not leave messages. The specific person calling you is based out side of the U.S. and they use spoofed numbers to fool caller is.
