Skip tracing is a vital part of debt collection. Most debt collectors use skip tracing to track individuals when the contact information is not available. In most cases. they use phone directories and online resources to track individuals. Skip tracing websites are also there from where debt collectors can get links to public record database.

Skip-tracing is nothing but locating a debtor whose provided-address and information are no longer relevant. The creditors and debt collectors use several techniques for skip-tracing. For example, they try to collect information from public and private fields when a debtor absconds.

Recent information is the creditors and debt collecting agencies are tracing the mobile phone of the run-away debtor through the skip-tracing process.

Yes, due to skip tracing, it's difficult to get away without paying back debts. And, when you provide SSN, everything can be tracked. So, it's always better to repay or settle previous debts.
