Can anyone suggest to me how soon I can claim social security benefits? Can I claim social security benefits after working for 20 years? Will I lose any benefits?

Well, you can claim your Social Security benefits after attaining the age of 62. But your benefits will be permanently reduced. That's why it's always better to claim Social Security benefits after attaining your full retirement age. It will help you to get the most of your Social Security benefits.

You can claim Social Security Benefits after working for 10 years also. This is when you work less than 35 years actually. But is best to claim Social Security benefits after working for 35 years. You will get maximum benefits that time.

Hello Jeremone!

The earlier you will go to claim your Social Security benefits, the more you’ll be penalized. If you work until your age 66 or 67 then you will receive the highest Social Security benefits.
