I just received a phone call saying that they have a case file against me and will be issuing 2 felony warrants for my arrest for check fraud? Can they really do this? I know it is because I closed my account a few years ago when I was having problems with payday loans?

No, they cannot do this. Debts are civil matters, not criminal. This is a common scare tactic these bottom feeders use. Who were your loans with, how much borrowed, how much paid?

I wish I knew. I can't remember it's been over 5 years ago since the account was closed. And I'm too scared to call the number back :( I guess I just have to bite the bullet and give them a call back.

i would file a police report as whoever called is a complete humanoid scamming pile of crap.i can guarantee they won't give you any info about them as no scam would.i wouldn't call jmho because they just want to threaten you as if they already didn't.calling will only result in an argument, and more calls from them.report and ignore.
