Tribal Lender Issue

Hello Everyone,

I am very unclear about Plain Green Loans and whether or not they can sue me in their tribal courts and win a wage garnishment against me. Most of what I am finding on the net is that they can not sue me in state civil court because they are not legal in Ohio by my states standards/laws. However I am unclear as to whether or not they could actually sue me in their tribal courts, forcing me to go to their tribal land and potentially win causing me to have my wages garnished by a tribal lender operating outside my state lines.

Is this actually possible?

Thanks,
Nikki

Hello, thank you for your answer. I actually have not paid off the principle yet, but I am making payments toward it. They are just telling me that I have to pay the full 6,000 instead of the remainder of the principle. The principle amount was 1,600, of which I have 300 left and I will pay that off, but not a penny more. I was just not sure if what they were saying was true or not. Thanks!

Hey Nikki,
You don't need to worry at all. Just pay off the remaining $300 and chill. They don't have the power to sue you, if they bother you again, tell them that you'll be going to file a complaint against them to the state's attorney general.
