Just curious to anyone on this board. Has anyone been sued or garnished from a situation with a payday loan after you've sent a C&D letter, contacted your Attorney General and closed your bank account? Seems like the worst I've heard from this board is threatening phone calls and negative reporting on your credit report.

If the company is illegal..there is nothing they can do but threaten you..
Now the legal payday loans can come after you.. sue you and garnish your wages...you need to find out for sure what kind of loan your dealing with first..all of mine were illegal and I overpaid the principal on all of them, only one harassed me, and after sending a C&D letter and treating them with a lawsuit..they left me alone.

I was actually served--but never went to court. So I think illegal lenders could try anything--but whether they succeed is another story....
