I don't recall signing up for this but my checking account has been charged $9.95 for the last serveral months and everytime I've tried to call the number listed I get an automated system that nevers allows me to speak to a live person to cancel or find out more about this service. I can't login because I don't have a username and password. Please contact me regrading this. Thank you.

Timothy,

It seems that you have mistaken in identifying the company that has been charging your checking account. This is Debtconsolidationcare.com. It provides free counseling to solve your debt problem. Joining is free here.

It seems some other company has fraudulently charged your account. Can you mention the name of the company? You can contact your bank to know who withdrew money from your account. Also ask your bank to stop any unsolicited debits from them in future.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

Another thing I might want to add is, perhaps you were solicited about some telemarketing item. "Try our service for 90 days", and then be charged a monthly fee of $10.

A very well known travel agency I worked for did that, after offering a free hotel night, and a 90 day trial in the program. Now, as many of the people calling in were booking reservations anyway, the free hotel offer purked their ears, and they didn't listen to anything else. They just wanted that free hotel night. The package would come in the mail, and they'd forget about it.
How many people open every piece of mail? Perhaps everone should consider the possibility of throwing away a check?!?!!?
I would recommend calling your financial instituion and asking them to cancel this service. Tell them that no more charges from this company should come through. Also if you can find out the name of the company, perhaps we can help track down a customer service department that has live operators. When calling them, remember to remain calm and ask to be explained about the charges. You might be able to get all charges credited back to your account.

Please let us know of the outcome on this.

Regards-
Mike

About a year or so ago, I had charges automatically taken out of my checking in which I had no idea what is was for. I checked with my bank and they were able to get the phone # and come to find out it had something to do with magazine subscriptions in which I didn't sign up for. Luckilly my bank reimbursed me for the charges.

This sounds alot like USA Benefits, did you take out a payday loan right before the charges began,or maybe signed up for a free credit report. You need to call your bank and find out who the debit is from, and call them to cancel the service, ask for a supervisor, and demand a refund. To get the bank to stop the debits, you may have to pay a fee.
