pay day loans

I will pm you the information of a debt consolidation that works with payday loans. They do a good job and I have been working with them for a few months now.

I will be going with the company (TC) that was sent to me by pm. I was wondering if you Mishele have ever gotten any garnishment or other threatening letters from these payday loans? I am really scared of these companies I have over 6 loans out - I have closed my checking account and put a deposit only on it and stopped payment on the loans - will these payday loan companies honor TC letters - sounds lik eyou have been with them for a long time and are satisfied with them Just wondering will be sending my fee in Saturday.

Each company seems to work differently. I did have a letter from Sonic go to my employer trying to verify my employment but it also stated that I had a defaulted loan with them. Actually, it was an e-mail. I sent a letter revoking any voluntary wage assignment to them and notified my payroll department. It's something you might want to consider. You can tell them you've entered into a debt consolidation program so you won't have to go into so much detail. That is what I did and they seemed fine with it. PM me your list of lenders and I maybe able to give you some more information.

Can you please help me and explain to me what it is I have to do to consolidate my payday loans? Is the payment every month something you can put in your budget? Thanks for all you help! :D

Mishele, How long before T&C starts cracking the whip on these people? I finally had to give in to Sonic and get them paid, but I'm getting calls and calls daily and T&C isn't doing anything about it. I mailed them my fee (money order) on the 28th of Feb.

How long does it take?

Normally once they receive the fee, they send proposals out the same day. You need to call T&C and tell them what Sonic has done and have them taken out of your consolidation so they don't send Sonic more than what they are owed.

Like Tammy said, if you are having problems with one of these lenders, contact your counselor at T &C. They will make it a priority to call that certain lender. I keep in close contact with T &C and it's been a big help for me.

OK...I'll call them this morning, hopefully it'll be alright, I'm starting to lose sleep again!

Called T&C...I worried over nothing, they are already in the process of contacting the payday people.

I'm glad I'm home today (my son is home sick), I can never make calls like that from work!

Glad to hear things are working out okay for you. I know that it can be frightening when first dealing with consolidation and payday loans. You don't know what to expect. I came home early myself today. I'm not feeling the best but I'm going to follow up on a few things before I take a nap. :P

I called T & C this morning they received my fee and as of today they are contacting all creditors Yepee! The rep told me I should not be getting any calls but after reading the posts on this forum sounds the payday loan companies still call. I am feeling whole lot better- but as soon as I know the calls stop I will be celebrating now I will finally have money and not be in the negative! At least I can make calls from work. I can't just take a day off to make phone calls.

According to the rep...the payday folks will still call you, you just need to refer them to T&C and give them the number and extension they'll provide.

Apparently, they STILL might call you, or say stuff like "we don't work with consolidations" but I'm not sure...it's just what I read here.

I'm planning on sucking it up and letting T&C do their work :-)

My boss asked me if I would speak to some of the people in his Habitat for Humanity program about the pitfalls of payday loans...I plan to!

T&C called today with an "update" just to let me know how they are doing with my case. I had not expected that at all! I'm actually sleeping at night again :-)

Thanks to all here for the encouragement....it looks like everything will be allright afterall.

hey eric.. how are things working out with you in the program and with the payday lenders.. i just sent my retainer fee in yesterday so im wondering whats to come in the next couple days after they contact all the payday companies.. let me know thanks

It took about a week for the paymemt to get to them. When it did, they started right away and called me a few days later with the update. So far, three of the lenders have backed down (I had to pay off Sonic...got tired of them so just gave in). Cash Today Ltd. is sending me emails saying they want to "discuss" my account...I sent them an email back with the T&C contact information and just received a reply today that they still want to "talk." No dice! I'm not talking anymore...that's what I pay T&C for!

At any rate, I'm very pleased with the progress so far, and I'll keep you all updated. I think finding this forum and learning so much has turned my life around.
