It's from a payday loan company. I think they are using this number, but calling from out of the country.

This guy called my fiance' and tried to tell her that she was going to jail. She told me about it, and I knew that was purely a scare tactic. I called him, #1, it's illegal to threaten someone about financial matters, #2, he should'nt have given me any information about the status of her loan without some kind of verification, and #3, he called her at work, which is also illegal. I kept asking him what the name of the company was and who he was a representative for. His strong dialect and attitude kept him from saying anything I could understand, but I did get Financial Processing Bureau, which has no reference on the internet or anywhere else. She did take out two internet loans, but they were payed promptly and this third party company was taking out increments less than 50 dollars, once a week, for about 12 weeks. When I asked him about that, he said that they were re-financing fees, which makes no sense. I also asked him how much of the money went toward principal and how much went toward interest, and he had no clue what either one was. I asked him if he even knew anything about a loan. I truly don't think he's legitimate and I'm going to get to the bottom of his business and see if it is legit. If it is she'll pay the money, if it's not than I'm going to do whatever I can to end his scam. I'm compiling all of the records of these loans and trying to find Terms and Conditions, so I can look through the fine print. Then, I'll take it from there. So, hopefully something will come of all this and we'll have one less crook to worry about.

It's been several months since I posted my last response, however, I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, and also called him back and told him I had notified the States Attorney's of both Florida and New Jersey, which is where the number was from. The Federal Trade Commission told me that he was probably operating out of a foreign country, but relaying his calls from a number in the U.S. So, if you have any problems, just turn the threats around on him and he'll shut his cowardly mouth!!

This guy has also been calling my daughter, she got one of those internet payday loans for $200 in April and they took $60 out of her checking account every two weeks until she closed her account. Now they tell her she owed them $1100 and she needed to send it Western Union tonight or she would be picked up right away by the police. This guy said she would be arrested and go to jail for 4 or 5 months. His stories keep changing when I talk to him one time he even told me he was from the FBI, I turned him in to the FBI. They gave me the number of the State Attorney and the Federal Trade Commission. Does anybody know anything about this kind of a situation. Help please.

Illegal. You did good with the FBI. File complaints with your state AG. File complaints with everyone regarding this. No one is going to jail. Do not money gram them any money. These are illegal people using illegal tactics.
