just took the dive

I just took the dive and decided to jump in! Just raised a payment to collection agency from $25 to $50 (balance now is $238.00-fingerhut)and another from $50 to $100 (balance is now $552.00-MBNA). Both are with the same collection agency. Phillips and Cohen--one collection is for midland which is fingerhut and the other is for hilco for mbna. I know some people have had problems with phillips and Cohen but I haven't. I am going to concentrate on the smaller one, getting it on out of the way-maybe just pay it in full next month if I can earn enough cc points. HINT HINT...lol I've got three debts now that are under $500 and one that is the MBNA which is alittle over $500. so I am concentrating on these four. Then on to the bigger ones. As I have said though, as soon as I get a couple cleared out, I have others standing on the side lines waiting to take their place. Dell and the one wells fargo account. I got my green card from 'dude' today--the guy in the collections department at wells Fargo- am awaiting to see what he answers back. commitment and determination is what it takes and I am determined for this year to make a difference in the clean up of my financial train wreck! hey, this would have made a good blog post! shirley

You have done lots of planning, it's good. Try to stick with your plans. As you have decided to pay more for your debts, you will become debt free sooner.

Once couple of small loans is paid in full, you can forward a bigger amount towards the other debts. Keep us updated once you receive a response from Wells Fargo. Hope the issue will be straightened out by this time, best of luck.
