i was wondering if people could talk about their success stories getting them out of the whole payday loan thing. im going through it now and it would be nice to hear about how people freed themselves from it. just gives you hope i guess.... what methods did you use to get yourself free? did you do consolidation? what company did the consolidation? how do you avoid the companies from repeating debits on ur account? any type of info would be good

We consolidated our payday loans with T&C. We closed our checking account and opened a new one and there is still one payday loan company still trying to hit it. I have filed complaints with the Attorney General, Consumer Protection, BBB and the FTC on all my payday loans. Once the pdl companies received the complaints, they started accepting the payments and one company was forced to accept. All the pdl companies have dropped the added interest and nsf fees. I am only paying on the amount borrowed. It got to the point where all the paycheck was going toward rewrite fees and our other bills were let go to pay the high interest fees. IMO payday loans will lead this country to financial ruin if they are not banned or shut down.

I had a debit from USA benefits that I did not authorize, but I just told the bank that I needed to closed my account and open another because of debits that were not authorized. They did it over the phone in just a few minutes, and even transfered my direct deposits and any debits that I wanted to continue, like my internet service.I contacted the payday lenders and made payment arangements, which all but one had no problem with.I have since went into a consolidation program and they are all working with me,and have stopped adding fees.I now have one paid off and 3 more to go.

How are united cash loans in regard to dealing with condolidation companies? I called them myself and they said that they dont work out payment arrangements until the account goes into collections. also do they have their own collections? or do they hire someone from outside.

I have alot of payday loans out right now and looking at possibly filing bankruptcy. Who is this T & C company that you are dealing with? Can you consolidate your payday loans? I really don't want to file bankruptcy but don't see any other solution. Help!!!

Thanks,
Angie

I fell into the payday loan trap about a year ago. I was going on vacation, and wasn't getting paid until the day the vacation ended so I applied for a payday loan. Then I opted not to pay it in full when my payday came, and took the extension instead. That led to another payday loan a few weeks later when that one came due. Then I got a third one around the holidays, and a fourth one after the holidays were over. I wound up with 6 payday loans all told. I finally had to bite the bullet and pay one off on each payday, leaving me extremely strapped for cash, and making some of my other bills late. I'm glad I did it, and the last one will be paid in full this week, but damn it was hard. My credit score is down to 560 after all this because I had to delay payments on so many of my other debts. But, I'm working on improving that too (it went up 9 points this week!) and I hope to look like a creditworthy member of society in the next couple of years so I can buy a house.

FSM Group is an affiliate payday lender. What they do is 1- pay direct into checking accounts 2- collect for the following payday sources: M1Y and RIO

If you recently had your personal information stolen from Paydayok you will find that FSM, RIO and M1Y will be pulling money from your account as well and for the most part it will be 90.00 per transaction. That equate to 270.00 per every two weeks.

Good luck to you. They will also have Interstate Wire Compliance Bureau call you. Do not listen to their threats, they are conducting business fraudulently throughout the US.

I had 7 payday loans all together. Next month I am making my final payment to the last payday loan I had to make. It's tough. I won't lie. I currently had a full time job and since that wasn't cutting it, I also obtained another part time. I decided to put school on hold to finish my loans. If I attended college, I wouldn't have been able to work much and get out of debt. I didn't work with any payday loan company. I was never harassed because I never missed a payment. I did however, arrange negotiations with other payments that had to be made by myself, such as my cell phone company. I had my car loan extend myt contact so I could have a 3 month grace period without payments. I talked to me rent collector and arranged payments on one occasion. You have to do everything that you can do to get out of it. I remember living off of yogurt and peanut butter butter and jelly sandwhiches for about a month because I didn't have extra money to buy something more expensive. I still have debt, but I enrolled in a debt management plan to pay my credit cards off. This is working and is extremely helpful. After that huge mistake, the only thing I can think of as advice is to ask when you need help. If I would have confronted my mother or a really good pal for a loan in the very beginning when I was in a sticky spot, I would have avoided the entire payday loan mess and would be 'ok' today. It has taken me almost two years to pay them off. It feels good to be almost out. I cana ctually afford more than yogurt now. Good luck fka 22!
