Clearing credit report

If there is a negative account in collections on your credit report, there really is no way to clear it, unless it is not truly your account, or the 7 year reporting period is over. You can pay the account, and it will be listed as "paid collection" on the report.

On that note, which company were you looking for? We can probably help you find an address and phone number.

You can look for their address in your credit report itself. If the address is not there, search in Better Business Bureau. Or if you mention the name of your creditor, we can help you find it out. While negotiating with your creditors, convince them to report your account in your favor like paid or pays as agreed.

Yes, Sir Curlycarl has mentioned something that I overlooked. Sometimes you can write a letter requesting that it be removed from your account upon payment in full, or at least "pays as agreed". It can't hurt to ask!

You can TRY...It's not a definate, but you can try.

A lot of collectors could care less if the info is on your credit report when they're done with you. Sometimes you can even talk them into not even reporting it if you catch the collections before they report it to the bureaus and start making payments.

thanks thats some good information to know. I've been up to date with my payments on my payday loan companies but got overwhelmed with them. This friday is the first time the payments wont go through to the lenders. I signed up with T&C last friday though and was wondering what kind of effect will the payday lenders have on my credit report.
