I guess you researched in the BBB where this remark is published. It must be regarding some of the legal issues of the company. As you are dealing with them over one of the accounts, keep in touch with them actively or you can consult a lawyer also.

I found it on the website for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. I just started digging for information on this company, and that's where I ended up. They are trying to collect on a small Adelphia account. They sent me a not-very-complete validation letter.

hmm... I am not sure but you can mail a query to Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and explain that you are making the payments to the CA for an account. Under this situation, you wish to inquire from them if you can continue making the payments to them. They will suggest you the next move. You can also get in touch with the original creditor and make possible arrangements.
