Get this!!! I got a letter from experian today saying that my account is under fraud alert. So I went on line and ordered my free Experian report, because they said after this, I could have one.

One of my husbands dell accounts has been dropped off of being "potentially negative status" and is now in the 'good standing' status but shows we owe nothing and has been reported as 'credit card lost or stolen'and has been forgiven. Now he only has three dells on his experian report.

What does all of this mean? what I'm saying, we didn't report anything being missing or stolen.
Experian said they were going to contact the other bureaus about the fraud alert--so I guess they will all show this. this is weird. I also got a letter today from Equifax and they said I can have a free report from them too. so after I go through the experian one, I'm going to look at the equifax.

this is weird. anyone ever heard of this before? I have been disputing but I never disputed as not mine or that our 'card' (never even had a card) was lost or stolen.

things that make you go hummmmmm.

This means they have ended up with wrong information. Either they have put some one else's result on your report, or Dell has misguided them. We cannot ignore what Jessi has said here. The account can be re-inserted any day, if Dell confirms it back. Shirley, call the toll free number of EX and explain the story.

It's been long days for you dealing with them. Browse their website as well and check if any specific information is there that can be useful for you.
