I want to know which country had its debt cancelled in africa?

Tawanda,

If I am not wrong, you are inquiring about debt consolidation companies in Africa. According to the Ranking Chart, Debt Consolidation Care serves people from USA mainly. However few companies from UK and Canada are also there in the chart.

You can search with your local media to get a debt consolidation company. Hope this helps.

Stan, Tawanda is actually referring to the debt cancellation program that is occuring in Africa and a few other places. They are having their debt obligations wiped completely in some places.

Tawanda - here is the list I found, I cannot vouch for it, but it did come from the Washington Post website: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for informing me Mary.

Do you know specific companies are helping people to get their debts cancelled or it is a program offered by their government? I read a post in forums that national debts are going to be discharged in poor countries; I was not sure about consumer debts. Thanks for alerting me.

It is not so much a company performing this act, as it is a group of finance ministers from the group of eight industrialized nations. It wipes out the debt owed by 18 of the poorest countries in the nation, and it may be as many as 38 countries when all is said and done. The debt cancellation deal covers debts to international lending agencies such as the World Bank, African Development Bank and International Monetary Fund. This is all info that I found on the net, after hearing a bit about it on the news. :)
