Missy, 1) get their fax number 2) fax them immediately a revocation of any assummed/digital voluntary assignment of wages 3)Do you really owe them $600. Make sure that before you agree to paying back anything it is a fair amount. Unless of course you wish to fight the fact that you owe anything. 4) send them only traceable funds (money order) do not allow them electronic access

They said the same thing to me, but I sent money orders anyway. I can't remember if they said they would accept Money Grams or Western Union payments. I set up the date for a week later than I was going to send a money order. I faxed a copy of the money order to them the day I mailed it. I never did send a money gram or western union payment, just 3 money orders and I never got another call from them. Don't know if this helps you. Good luck

Cash Today - Well I dealt with them too. I didn'r get anywhere with the phone reaps so someone on this board told me to email Darren. Well he did work out a plan with me. Basically after a lot of emails I settle for the original loan amount of $200. I also filed a complaint with the AG in Nevada. They actually called me to make sure they weren't harassing me anymore, etc.
I didn't have any luck with them validating the debt in writing. They just won't do it. When I sent the final payment I sent it certified mail (via money order) and Darren sent me an email stating they had received it. I kept all of the email correspondence so if they ever come back I will have documentation. It is better than nothing. My best advice is to hold firm with this company and be persistant with your requests.
Good Luck. Let me know if you have any other questions.

missy, they will claim that you verbally agreed to voluntarily assign (garnish) your wages in the event of default. This is illegal in most if not all states, since such assignment requires a signature. The revocatin just gives you more ammunition to protect yourself and your employer. If you have not already done so, change your bank account numbers so that they do not have access to yor funds. Htgt's approach is pretty good, usually these guys will take the easiest way to get their money .. so if you say i will pay x amount in total in y number of monthly installments.. Try and propose the principal amout plus 1 or 2 fees and see what happens. be emphatic about only paying by money order
Thanks all
Thanks everyone for your help on this...they scared me yesterday when they kept calling me and others at work threatening...I filed a complaint with the BBB o them too..Also, to: Htgt123?...Do you have their email address as you did..to set up payments...JJ..they do not have my new checking acct. numbers..I refuse..I will send money orders...I will keep you all posted..Missy

Unfortunately Cash2day hides in a Grey area between US and UK laws.
When discussions about this came up several months ago, I contacted the FTC and explained the situation which people were encountering. They explained there are two fundamental obstacles which nullify protections under the fdcpa.
1) They are the original creditors. Original Creditors are not governed or bound by FDCPA. Only Collectors and Collections Attorneys.
2) The disclosure which people agree to clearly states the transaction is deemed to have taken place at their Corporate Offices in the UK, and are subject to the Jurisdiction of the UK. Hence, rights and protections afforded under US and State laws are void, as their is no agreement between the US and UK. Any time you engage in any transaction which is deemed to occur outside the US, you are doing so at your own risk, and are not protected under US laws,

However, by the same token you are not bound by UK laws as a citizen of the US. Meaning that there is little they can do legally to make you pay. About all they can try is the wage assignment dodge. So what does this mean:
They will try every trick in the book to get their money back. It also means that they will also take the easiest path to get it back, meaning that push comes to shove they will usually accept payments, complaining and threatening every step of the way.

The email address I had was for darrenw(at) cash2day4u.com. The last time I used it was Janaury 2006 so hopefully is it still good. His name is Darren Webb. When I spoke to the Nevada's AG, he told he had spoke to Darren also. Just be really careful with them. He are some excerpts from our correspondence.
""I will take a look into your loan history shortly (we are awaiting a server upgrade to be completed) and come back to you with specific details.
Just to clarify - we are a UK based operation and the Reno address is merely a mail address used to forward post to us, it prevents customers having to pay for international postage.
In terms of paperwork, as we operate a paperless application and provision service (ie. verbal contract and electronic payment) we do not have any facility for letters of validation. Also, as these are not necessary under UK law, which you agreed to the loan being solely covered under, we will not be able to send one.
The reason that the amount will vary is that the balance will increase on each pay day that passes without the account being paid off.
I will contact you soon once I have your account history available.""
Just be persistant and if they call, state you are working on this with Darren. Don't let them bully you. I kept asking for letters of validation and they would get frustrated, etc. Half the time I couldn;t understand them and they would end up hanging up on me.
