Question about Florida SOL

I've recieved a summons to appear in court for a pretrial conference (not sure what that's about) but Discover card is suing me through their attorney. I'm almost certain the SOL has passed for this judgement and was thinking of bringing that up in court, but i'm not sure if a credit card debt per florida law would fall under 5yrs or 4 yrs, don't quite understand the oral agreement, promissary note, written agreement or open accounts. if someone can explain this to me please, it would be greatly appreciated.

I was taken to Court for an acct that was out of the SOL period for Florida which was 5 years from the DOLA and did not hire an atty. I went to Court and represented myself with my credit reports showing the DOLA and a Judgment was granted against me. So, I think that if a lawyer files a lawsuit and you do not hire an atty to represent you you are going to lose as I did.

It is always advised to consult lawyers when it comes to court hearing. However, I'm not sure if judgment can be granted against consumer only for not hiring a lawyer. Hope VLD would put some points here.
