I called them cause i was so mad about this scam i told them i was going to pay but needed their address to overnight a payment. Alex Devine came back to the phone to say they could not take overnight payments and that i should pay platinum b, but yesterday he said that i could only pay him. And when i caught him in this lie he gave me over to some guy named Carmichael and said any complaint filed against them would be slander. i told him he was a crook and I had complained to the FTC and AG office in maryland also i foundout that payday loans were outlaweed in maryland and those contracts would not be enforce in md courts because of the interest rates conflict with the federal usry policy and law. Toughluck Platinumb if i did owe anything not getting it now

Good going:)...Do you live in Maryland...I do too..I
am glad to hear about the payday loan laws..I took out
one at a walk in store...do the same laws as you mentioned apply to those too?...I am having issues with one..and they threatened to take me to court if I do not pay what they ask? Thanks

About eight year ago there were several store front businessess during the payday loan (A&B check cashing) was a major one however these companies stop when the stae assembly passed laws limiting these co to a going only by fed usry rates and not there inflated rates. A few still operate but it is not called cahsing post dated checks which is illegal you cannot write nor accept post dated checks a check should only be written when the money is in the account. Also most of these companies have such high rate because they anticpate default on these loans

It seems that you owe to Platinum B. An employee from their concern often visits this forum and puts feedback. You can visit the posts by them and see what they recommend-

http://forums.debtcc.com/forums/before-duedate.html

You can contact them and tell them that you have some problem dealing with this particular collection agency. And inform us how they respond. Hope this helps.
