Long time listener first time caller ... lol.. anyways. On or about September 10th 2005 I looked into the possibility of getitng a payday loan to cover a debt that I had not counted on and had to be paid immediately. I went through the 100s of payday loans available on the internet and chose Cash Today Limited BOY WAS THAT A MISTAKE.

At the last minute I changed my mind and called them.. after 30 minutes of trying they answered and said ok. They then deposited 200$ into my account and took it back out 3 days later. I have my bank statements to show this. Just the other day, what is it 7 months later... they call me saying I owe them 300$ in fees. I said give me something in writing saying what I owe and when I accepted this debt. They said they couldnt do that, they only did business over the phone. BAD answer. Has anyone had any of the same problems with this company?

They call my work over and over the first time they said I owe them 500 but would settle for 2 payments of 150 each. The second time they called the next DAY they said I owe 759$ and would settle for 2 payments of 200$. The next day they called and said I owe them 869$ and would settle for 2 payments of 400$. WOW! Haha...

What else can I say... wow.... interesting business practices.

Try sending them a letter to stop all call,it did work with my payday lenders, but I didnt have a loan with Cash Today,If they cant even prove that you owe them anything, they dont have a leg to stand on.Sometimes I think that these people think that we have so many payday loans, and they go by so many different alias, that we just assume that we owe them and in some cases pay up just to stop the calls.

I can go on and on about these payday loans. Yes, we as individuals did take out the loans, but should we have to pay back 3, 4, 5 times or more the loan. We is the justice. I have had it with the threats and I try to go toe for toe with them. We also have to be concerned with collection agencies buy the debts from some of these payday loan companies. They are even way more harrassing than the payday companies in many cases. It is ridiculous. Have they not heard of laws. They try to harrass people into paying them. If they want to be paid they shouldn't attach all the additional interest that they do making it impossible for someone that would of took the payday loan in the first place to pay them. I had a company harrass me at work yesterday. It was awful, but I still tryed to maintain my dignity and thank goodness I have good bosses that knew he was breaking every fair credit law there is. Nevertheless you do not want these people calling your workplace. He said he was an officer and was calling from United Legal Investigation (not real) and in the past someone called from Financial Crime Division (not real). They talk about getting you arrested, coming to your job they should be under the jail for pretending to be upstanding officers of the law. I have tryed to make payment arrangements with some of these companies, but you want $1400. on a $200.00 loan. I don't think so. In any case I so want to be included on any class action suits that come about. They want us to be fair, why can't they?
