I want to send a C and D letter to this guy at National Payday advance but I don't have an account number. Can I or should I use my Social Security Number? Thanks.

Oh no Sheilaaw, I wouldn't do that. I would think that your address and phone number would be enough for them to find who you are. Unless you know for a fact, that they already have your social security number in their files (then it wouldn't matter cause they already have it anyways), then I wouldn't give it to them. Theres too much info they can get from having your SSN. Just my opinion. As I said though, if its information that they already have, then I guess it wouldn't hurt but if they don't, then I wouldn't. I have went into places before to pay my bill and forgot my statement at home so I didn't have the account number on me. I just gave them the name the account was in, the address and phone number. This should be enough for them to link it to you.

The deal is that it's one of those payday loan places. I've told them that I've joined up with a debt consolidation company and the guy refuses to accept that fact. He called my job about 8 times in less than 2 minutes last week. I told T & C about this and they told me to give him their number which he rudely refused to accept. I told him that I would file harassment charges against him if he kept calling and he told me that I couldn't do that. I work for lawyers and I know that if some one kept calling my job then that is harassment. I'm going to forward the e-mail to T & C tomorrow. Now, is a faxed copy of a C & D letter just as good as a certified one? I know with the certified letter he has to sign for it but I'm afraid this guy will continue to call until he gets the letter. Thank you.

well, you could go ahead and fax him a copy now and then also send him a copy through certified return receipt. That way theres no doubt he got it. Hold on to your proof that the fax was received and also to your green card when it comes back, as proof if you should need it later on down the line, like to sue this jerk for harrassment!!!
