Pay Day companies out there? I'm glad i've found this place because I too would have had a horror story about these people. Was contemplating getting a loan some time last yr, and saw their flyers in my mailbox so i was this close to calling them, but luckily I was able to catch up on my bills. BUT, now i'm needing a loan, and I wanted to know if there is at least "one" good payday company out there that i can try?

Thank you.

Do not get a payday loan. They will lead you into financial ruin. They charge outragous interest. I have seen the interest as high as 1000%. I don't know of any payday loan that is good. They are a temperary solution and that is all. Before you know it, you will be getting more loans to pay them off. Go through the forums and read the horror stories about the payday loan industry. Loan sharking is all they are.

These type of loans are usually only for the EXTREME emergency. Most of the companies require you to pay them back within 7 days, and most companies won't allow you to renew them, but will let you reloan after paying back..which is what gets you caught in the cycle.

Consider borrowing from a family member or close friend. You could make ends meet by eliminating certain "material" items in the house, or by making your gas tank stay full by only driving to and from work.

Mike

I concur with the others.. there is no such thing as a good one. I mean sure there are some that follow the law, are even ethical and treat their customers with respect, but the type of loan that it is is very expensive and dangerous.

Please accept my apologies for intruding, but if i may inquire what you need it for and how much you need, perhaps we can help you figure out an alternative

OMG I feel so blessed to have found this place. You guys are truly AMAZING. Thanks for looking out for me, i appreciate the advice that you've given me so far. I will take your advice and stay clear of those payday loan places. Glad I asked before getting my feet wet.

JJ, I don't think for one minute that you are intruiding so no need to apologize, if anything I appreciate you taking the time out to check out my post and offering your sincere advice. I was seeking a loan of $475.00 because my room-mate didn't give me notice that she would be leaving by the end of this month, well she left before the end of the month, left on sunday 3/26. So now i'm stuck with paying the rent all by myself for April 1st.

Thanks again guys for giving me your feedbacks. I really appreciate it.

God bless you all.

If you talk to your landlord, they will more than likely give you a little extension. Paying a late fee is MUCH better than paying the fees attached to payday loans. And with the payday loan, when you get paid, you'd be out that $475, plus another hundred dollars or more....Which is what leads to loan #2...and #3, #4..etc.
