This sounds so corny, but I have to thank you guys. Today is the one year anniversary of my dad's death, and I am having a very rotten day. I couldn't wait for my computer time tonight, so I could come here! You guys have been great this past month and a half, and I feel like I have a whole bunch of new friends. Thank you so much, and it's so great to be here. This is the last time you will ever hear me be quite so sappy, so pat yourselves on the back.

I understand how you feel about the annivesary of your dad's death. My dad died 9 years ago and I still struggle on that day. It is very hard to lose a parent no matter how old you are.

My husbands father passed away 10 days before our first child was born. Still 11 years later we all have trouble dealing with that day. We sit around and remember him and the things he did. His father told us two days before he passed we were having a baby girl and we thought he was crazy, til she was born.

My grandma passed away on Christmas Eve in 2002. I had every single emotion possible that day...I was mad, sad, and happy all at the same time. Mad that she would pass away on CHRISTMAS..Sad that she was gone-we were extremely close...And happy that she was out of pain. She suffered for years with Emphasema and the last month she was alive she was in excruciating pain. And trying to put a funeral together over a holiday is always fun...lol
