I've been doing some research here on the florida payday lending laws and the most they can charge in interest is %10 of the principal and $5 verification fees..if so
I have the address of Platinum B. Services who have their address listed in Clearwater,Florida. I took out a loan for $325 last November. Since then every two weeks they have debited my account for $75 for interest only.
Have they somehow violated this lending law?
My records indicate that I have paid them over $450 in fees only.
What do all think? Should I write them a letter?
Not sure if I'm getting this, but I listened to polly's interview and am stuck on this situation....lol

Well, I would say the best way is to set up a payment plan with these guys and ask them to stop with the fees. Aren't the maximum rollovers set to 4? In any case, if it is the case that Florida does license payday loans then yes, agreeing on an amount and payment plan would be my suggestion in resolving this issue (pending on the fact that you agree to do this).

Thanks...I've read most of them. Been addicted to this site since I found it. Currently I'm waiting for payday to send the fee to T&C since I've received all the documents.
But still trying to find a way to pay off Platinum if they will accept a settlement payment...
Just a thought
