Hello,

Has anyone dealt with EZPayday Loans? I have an account with them but I'd like to know what they are all about as they are already threatening me to add all this interest and extra late/NSF fees to my account that will be due immediately. Please let me know of any information about this company and how to handle this.
Thanks!

I searched for EZ payday loan was redirected to the site of Cashnet500.

Seems it is an online lender, please check if they are licensed to do business in your state or not. Also check if the rate of interest and financial charges are within the scope of usury laws or not.

Others who have dealt with online payday lenders could help you more.

Hello,

Yes, it does appear that they are charging me more interest than the loan itself. I am supposed to pay them $125 every other week for a $500 loan and I have one payment but then I missed one so then they charged me $62.50 a week later. Is the penalty for a charge that did not go through supposed to be 1/2 the finance charge being charged? That's ridiculous to me because then it just seems like their NSF fee charge is $62.50. Do they have this right? Also, if my State (Washington state) states that payday loans are not to charge over 15% on any loans $500 and under (so most for a $500 is $75 finance charge) apply to online payday lenders as well? or is that for ones that are within the State and ones I can walk into?
Thanks!

Hello Curlycarl,

Thank you very much for that link. I'm actually going to use one of the links that she put into the 'Quote' section.
Do you by chance know where to find laws for payday loans which pertain to Washington State?
Thanks!

Quesik, try these links
dfi.wa.gov/consumers/paydaywp.htm
apps.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?Cite=208-630 (no www)
apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?Cite=31.45 (no www)

Washington law does apply to internet payday lenders and if you need it I have an email from the Dept. of Financial Institutions stating their legal position on the matter.
