hey, I actually have a praise about a payday loan company. Apple fast cash personal loans was very easy to deal with after I defaulted. they did not add extra interest or fees other than the one nsf fee, and they were understanding and ethical. They didn't badger me with phone calls, either. that's why they got paid off first.

Well, quikpayday, sonic cash and payday max have been wonderful to me. In fact, no one has been downright nasty and they haven't been bombarding me with phone calls like I thought they would. Overall, my experience has not been so bad.

My experience with most of mine has not been that bad. Helping out my experience has been my debt management/consolidation company, Town and Country Acceptance. Most of the payday loans have cooperated and accepted the payments.

We do need to share the positive. Especially for those who are just finding us here. To read some of the postings would scare them even more than they already are.

I had posted this in another thread a while back about a girl I was working with at Capital One on an old account I had that was great to talk with.
To update sent them first payment and will follow up with the balance to get it paid in full status. On top of it this was way out of SOL but it was mine and I always told myself that I would make good sooner or later on things I knew to be mine with people who treated you like a person as soon as I was in a position to due so.
"Talked with one of my creditors today.
Capital One and talked with a very pleasant lady by the name of Sekari who I would like to give a very good compliment on her friendliness and very polite to work with.
Original debt was about $2000.00 and they offered a settlement of half. When I said all at once would be difficult to come up with she offered to break it into two payments. As we continued to talk I asked her if we could make it 3 payments so that it would not be so stressful on my income. At first she was hesitant but then said ok I firmly believe due to the civility of the conversation and my willingness to work with getting this previous charged off debt taken care. She was definiatly professional and polite throught out the entire dealing. Though she may never know it I do wish to make it public among people I knew who would appreciate how she conducted herself.
Well one down basically about a dozen more to go"

Discover Card was the only company willing to work out payment arrangements BEFORE I defaulted because I knew I was about to get into big trouble financially. I called them and explained everything, and they worked out a plan that lowered my interest very dramatically, took away all late fees, and over the limit fees, and gave me a smaller monthly payment. I called all of my credit cards, and other creditors, and no one was willing to work with me at all, even after I was 2-3 months behind, I still couldn't get any help from any other company.

Quickpayday was very nice and even stopped adding fees,so they were the first to get paid off,Payday ok wrote off my balance since I had been paying high interest for a year, and I did send a email about the laws of my state, but they were very nice and even called the consolidation company and told them that my loan was paid in full.So I would say kudos to Quickpayday and Paydayok.

OK here's one from a newby, I'm not sure if it is good or bad though, I got a letter from AG today. Of course I'm late with my payment on a secured loan I have with them. The letter says "I noticed your account is past due. This is unusual for a good customer with an excellent payment record. I hope that you are not having unecpected financial problems. If additional cash would help you through some temporary financial difficulties, let us know. We may be able to help. Then at the bottom the blurb about this communication being an attemp to collect a debt was stated. How do I take this, sometimes I wonder. The really great thing is that I am hearing lots of good things about most of the companies that I have been dealing with and that is helps a lot. :o

Since I started this one, I'll add one. I dealt with a collector, Collections Bureau of America last fall. I did the usuall due diligence and asked for validation(as I had paid the bill they were collecting a few months before). Any how. They responded within a week, that the debt was indeed paid in full, and even provided me a paid off letter with out even having to ask for it.

My surgury bills from my car accident are held by Physicians Collection Bureau...My collector, "Marina" is awesome....she marked my accounts, "Do not Report" so they won't show up on my CR, and lets ME contact HER when there is an update on my case. :) She's always been very polite, and very nice. I'm going to send her a card when it's all over with, and a letter to her supervisor. :)

okay since we are on a nice binge today... back when I was dealing with my payday loan debacle I had a loan with an olnine company called Jiffy Loans (no called Moneyman Loans, when things started to go south, after one rollover I called explained the situation and they not only agreed to waive the fees but asked what I could afford to pay...so I said i could probably to about $50 a month, then the gal asked, (now I am expecting the its not enough line) if I was sure that was a good amount and that she did not want me to try and do too much, so after discussing it we agreed on $25 a month. After that, they never called, bothered me or causde any hassle what so ever. So to Bobbie and Micki, wherever you are.. thanks

I guess I'm a loner here. I don't have any good stories. All the collection agencies that we have been turned over to have been the deadbeat ones. Guess the good news is that I have learned to fight back.

I think the nicest people were Platinum B.
I think the big key here is to let everyone know that if you even get a whiff of not being able to make payments is to call them right away!
Most of the time they do work with you.
When I first found this forum, I really started to panic and get upset when I read about everyone's horror stories, but come to find out alot of these unfortunate people were already in collections and never notified their creditors first.
I know that may not always be possible, but it might be good to add that additional advice or a sticky on it somewhere?
Just my thoughts here...and no I'm not out of debt yet and still struggling to pay off these people, but remain in contact with them at all times, even if I don't feel like answering the phone.

My first collections job gave me a wonderful experience. The environment was as professional and positive as could be. There was a constant air of encouragement surrounding the highest managers, and this positive environment made it so we could work with borrowers on a friendly and businesslike level. Because of this, I had often rehabilitated people's loans on first contact. I loved using the fdcpa guidelines to break the ice and build a rapport with people. I liked engaging them and hearing fascinating stories about their careers, families, cats, and other enjoyments.
Having rehabilitated, settles, or otherwise collected a loan was a cause for celebration for both the agency and the borrowers. In the month of October, so many loans were negotiated that we had many borrowers satisfied in knowing they were getting back on the right track, and so the agency celebrated it's success with a huge pizza party!
I miss this job so much! It's my biggest regret of leaving Massachusetts, even though the manager stated that the door would always be open to me if I ever came back. I haven't found a job down here that even remotely compares to it.
