I got a call on recorder fro 800-220-3350 and said they were from Sizemore Office, don't know if I understood it right. Anyway called back the other day and they answered with another name. I asked about that and he said they were tons of offices in that building. Anyway they have caller id because he said I don't see your name anywhere, and started asking me if I knew, and proceeded to say about 10 different names. Well,I started laughing and said "do you want me to get my phone book and tell you who all I know from that?" I guess he got flusteres and hung up!!! But they have called today on recorder and I was wondering if anyone knew who they actually were..Thanks

Thanks CurlyCarl.Haven't heard anymore from them. I'm thinking it might be an old account that my son who is on disability had,and unfortunately he sent them a payment quite a while back. Otherwise it would be over the SOL.No they never said what they were collecing on,just kept asking if I knew any of these people he was naming! Am I right in assuming they cannot garnish on his disability check? I want to be sure so if I talk to them I want to have my facts right.

Actually if you do a search on MSN.com it comes up with many different collection agencies.

I talked to a guy by the name of Bill Paxton he left a message for my roommate and told me it was regarding a former property of his. ( he hasn't lived in that property for over 10 years) I'm thinking it is some sort of scam...

I just received a call from the same number. I had received a call from a Karen at AR Management. Her number was 1-800-220-3350, extension 6478 regarding a case number that was supposedly assigned to me. Sounded totally legitimate, like someone might have opened up a credit card on my behalf. I foolishly gave her the last 4 of my social and she said, yes this is the last 4 that we have on file for you. If I would have been smarter, I would have asked her what last 4 did she have for me. They said that I had a Mastercard that had not been paid on in 5 months. But I do not have a mastercard. They listed a few people with the same name as me with different addresses and asked me if I was one of them. They then told me to call a 1-800-220-3350 number. I called the number and when the guy answered, he said Hello.. No company greeting, no nothing. Then I told him my name and I could hear some lady in the background taking up a storm. And not about business either. He proceeded to ask me what my address was, he listed a few addresses and I told him no. Then he had the audacity to ask me if I would give him my social security number just for verification purposes and I told him absolutely not. Then he said well I dont really have any information for you and was really short with me. This was most definately a scam. I hope nobody was tricked into giving out too much information to these criminals. I am sending an email out to our local news station to see if they can get to the bottom of this

My husband got a call yesterday from this number saying they were looking for me because I haven' paid my student loans. I thought it was odd since I just mailed my payment 1 week earlier. I called the number back and when someone answered they said "I'm so glad you called back" without giving them any information. The woman on the phone said that I had an out standing student loan for Texas University. I am born and raised in Florida and have never been to TU. Be very careful and don't give them any information. I have also been getting calls from this number as well 800-220-3350 - when i answer the call hangs up after 2 seconds. I called them back and all I heard was laughing. Be careful!

this number has called me 3 times now today. the first time I hung up on them. They had the wrong person. The second time they laughed at me for "pretending" to be someone else. Both those calls were from a woman. the third I let VM get and it was a man named Tim O'Brian with some crap about me having to call them before 9pm tonight or legal action would be taken. I AM NOT WHO THEY ARE LOOKING FOR!! Yes, they asked to speak to a woman. yes. I am a woman. Just not the one they named. These people ar very very rude and will ruin your day.

I got a call today from them after missing a few of their calls on several occasions.

They said I was paying my HSBC Mastercard fine but I have suddenly stopped and it went to collections. I have never banked nor had an HSBC Mastercard and then they said it says "Orchard" on it and it was issued from HSBC. They then said they were calling to set up a payment schedule with them to pay off my debt. I would send them money each month to pay off my debt. This is complete BS.

THESE GUYS ARE SCAMS trying to extract personal information and money from me and individuals.

That was smart of you not to give personal ionfo out. Too many people give this info. If these places are real, and you owe them, they already have your info. I never give out personal info, nor do I give my account info to anyone, I pay by money orders, unless it is a utility company or something like that. The scary thing is, my mom received a call recently by a woman wanting to talk to my father about his Medicare coverage. The woman gave her my dad's ss number, and birthday, and wanted to speak with him. She wouldn't say how she received it, only that he was reffered-trouble is, my dad died 26 years ago  So there are always wasy these nuts can get your info!..KAren

I told him my mom passed away and wanted to know where to send the death cert. he told me to hold on an some nasty lady came on wanting me to pay my moms bill. i told her it is not my responsibility to pay this and she said some nasty things about my mom and hung up on me. I called them back three times and each time they hung up. I called a fouth time and got a NJ office. They said the other office is in Alabama. This number along w/ a similar number has called me many, many times over the last three months. For the first two I just didn't answer, figured it was a solicitor...and everytime they left me a voicemail.

The voicemail came in one of two forms:

1. an automatic message saying "This is an important phone call for...name...if you know...name...please have them call us at...number.

2. A randome person, almost always a different one says: "Hi my name is ____, please call me back at ____"

Finally, I decided to answer the damn thing one day. I got an automatic message that said "If your name is...name...please press one. If this is not your name, please press 2.

I answer the dang phone everytime it rings in hopes it will be a real person...but it never is...its just that automatic message. And I'll be dammed if I'm going to incriminate myself by pressing one.

This number is a collections agency. They are either calling you because you have debt that has went into collections because you did not pay your debt.

It is their job to call you and to collect the debt. The company is called Accounts Receiveable Management.

If you have not had any debt go into collections, they might call you because of a family member or a neighbor.. They contact anyone they can to get ahold of the person that owes the debt.

The debit is 25,63 but nco charge a fee of58,06=83,69
This debt was an overdraft that my husband didnt own.he paid all his overdrafts from bank america.
Nco invented this overdraft of 25,63.my husband closed his checking account with boa and he still have +14,00 there and is not a negative amount.i have all overdrafts paid here and i never saw a 25,63 from bank america here.
My husband gave a 83,69 post date check to nco that they deposit in 8-6-07.
Nco letter:"the post check you authorize will be deposit on 8-06-07."
Nco send another letter before this telling they
(bad nco collectors)will deposit his check in
The end of july 29-2007.
Now arm is calling here and wanted 92.27 and they told my husband in the telephone that is the same overdraft of 25,63with the fee of 58,06 that my husband paid already to nco.83,69
Arm told if my husband dont pay this 92,27 they go to report in 3 credit bureaus.i want they report
In a 100000 credit bureaus because if nco lie in credit reports arm can lie either.
My husband is blind and he cannot more read his credit reports anymore.
Today arm call 2 times and finally my husband told me these people already received my money and they wanted another check!!!???My husband is confused arm with nco already.i think he is right.
Finsfan13 remember you told me "report these people!"
Nco and arm need to be reported like ltd 77074,portfolio recovery associates, academy,
allied interstate, bass and associates and many others collections that are telling lies to consumers and robbed their money.the best place to report these bad collections agencies is in debt consolidation care forum and who called us? Government didnt care anymore.
Unknown i think you are good a debt collector and
You dont know what bad collectors are doing now.
Maybe you think all debt collect is a saint but
You didnt saw hell yet.
Thanks for your advise and congratulations for be
A great debt collector.
Finsfan13 what you think about these people now?
I think you will tell me again :"report these people!!!

They have called me off and on for three years, now I don't answer just let it go to V.M. They call asking for three or four different people. have told them don't know anyone by that name, but they still call. Is there a way to stop them short of an Attorney? Can the do not call list be used against them?

I have been receiving calls from ARM for several months. They call for someone who no longer has my number and whom I don't know. The calls increase in frequency to several times daily. My lawyer says You have to call your local phone provider, your state attorney general, the FTC and the Do Not CALL Registry ( I report every call the same day I received it) if you are on the do not call list. Document all calls, date and time. Send them a certified letter (keep a copy of the letter) to ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGEMENT INC 155 Mid Atlantic Parkway THOROFARE, NJ 08086 Attn: Joe Burch Sr. V.P. Keep your receipt. Tell them they are in violation of of Public Laws 95-109 and 99-361, also known as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, to end all calls immediately to your number. They also violate the Do Not Call List act, ???????if a consumer asks a company not to call, the company may not call, even if there is an established business relationship, indeed, a company may not call a consumer - regardless of whether the consumer's number is on the registry - if the consumer has asked to be put on the company's own do not call list,??????? Tell them to CEASE & DESIST all calls to your phone number.Warn them you will utilize telephone recording devices in order to document any telephone conversations. Inform them you are aware of numerous lawsuits against them in Federal court for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well as State courts and Civil courts. Let them know you will sue if the calls continue. Make sure you sign & date the letter. Even if they reject your letter you have grounds to sue. Good luck, they have had over 30 Federal cases alone since 2004. I look forward to seeing them in court. Even if you do owe money you have the right to request the calls end and to sue if they don't.

What does anyone think the best advice on these callers? I mean sure you can ignore it and let it go to voice amil like one callers said (I do that all the time). When unknown name and numbe come up on my caller id I figure if it is important they will leave a message. They never well amybe a time or two have. I feel for anyone going through this. It is annoying and stressful. I have my own collection account plus get calls for someone elses all the time. So pretty much my phone rings away. I noticed on my account it was bought by a CA (#2) and they just got it this past Nov. I moved shortly before then and after calling all my family got this new number. Does anyone here have calls that come up on caller I.D. as ...unknown caller...000-000-0000. I asked this on another forum and am hoping to get the answer form either. Thanks

Hi,
That ???????benefit???????? of being called few times a day from this number came to me along with a prepaid phone from At&T. At first I picked it up, and being asked by a recorded voice ???????are you (eg.) John Smith? if you are John Smith, press something, if you are not press something else??????? So I did. I thought, that was over. I was wrong. It keeps calling me every week, sometimes few times a week, a day. I stopped answering it. Besides as a guy from Europe I am pissed off having to pay for incoming calls within one country, that was kind of surprise when I came to the US for the first time... Anyway, I got used to this, besides I am happy going home within a month or so. I will throw away the sim card on JFK? :)))

They are Accounts Receivable Management and they called me because they were collecting for past due amounts on my cc with HSBC. I worked out a plan, but what I found out later after looking on my credit card statements that even though I was paying on a plan, but if they payments were late for what they delivered and the fact that I was over my balanced I was being charged more per month than what I was paying on a repayment plan. What would have been the point of me making the repayment....I didn't get any further ahead.

We have been getting calls from them almost a year. All with the same result: we do not know the person you are searching and please stop dialing this number. On the last call, received 20 minutes ago, it was the same routine. But this time I looked up the number and sent that ARM Inc. (collection) company an email threatening to press charges against them for harassment if this persists. Let's see what happens.
