My credit score went up! :) YAY!

I signed up with the "score power" deal with equifax last week....30 day free trial deal.

So I set the alert preference to let me know when the score went up to 500. (Mine was embarassingly at 465) It went up to 501 today! YAY! Still poopy, but better...It's headed in the right direction anyway.

I'm excited now.

Macy's put my new account info on my report, and that's what did it I think. I was nervous that my score would drop, but it didn't. :)

I don't have any cake...Just pickles. :)


Hello Jessi,

Great job on building up your credit score...it's always good to be above 500 :) I'm actually right there as well so your encouragement and accomplishment is very aspiring. Is there a secret you can share with us on how to build up the score so fast? :)

Quesik, I really don't know what I did...lol I've just been really working at paying my collections off. I also had a closed Macy's account that I reopened, and as soon as that reported to my CR, my score went up.

I'll have all my major collections paid up in the next couple of months, and that will help too, I would hope.
