Ok, I posted last night in my "Midland" thread that they offered me a 50% off deal...

But thinking about it more...This was a collection for Aspire...

Aspire is not listed on my experian CR..I'm not sure about the other 2, I'll need to look, I have them in a folder at work, because that's where I spend the majority of my time.

So if the collector is listed on my CR, but not the original creditor, do you think I could get Midland off my report after I pay it?

Someone in Credit Repair forum has posted that if a charged-off account is sold to debt buyer/collection agency, two entries are likely to be there in your report for the same account. Now if the charged-off completes 7 years reporting time, it will be removed from your credit file. That does not mean the collection stuff will also get removed.

Jessi, if you find any other information about this, please share it with the community members.

Aspire has suddenly got off, or it was never in your report?

Aspire did not report your account, that is because they are not there. Midland will verify it, so it might be tough get them off. Again, there is no harm in trying. You can negotiate with them once you pay the account in full.

If I'm not wrong, you have settled the account with Midland right?
