Payday Loan Consolidation

I would like information on consolidating my payday loans. I should have never started it, but I did. I'm on workers comp right now and not getting any income, so of course they are calling.
I did close my bank account that they all were debiting. And one bank has charged me so many fees that my OD is now 800! I'd like to take of this, but I don't know what to do. Ive heard everyone talk about T&C. What is it, and how does it work? Is it legite? Or one of those scam o nes where you pay them and they pay half to the creditor? How do they work?

Can payday loan company's sue you or put you in jail, or send the stuff to the Attorney General in your county? Or are they just regular LOANS perse and they go into collections?
