Has anyone had an encounter with NEL aka Nationwide Express Loans. I was lied to by someone named "Amy" she said I would get a personal loan I sent her $250 as an "insurance" fee via overnight fedex. I checked the tracking number and never to hear from her again. I only have a fax # 800-934-9245.

Well, I should have stated that this occurred back in November, but I am going through all of my bills and I came across the info. I sent a Western Union Money Order...I still have the receipt and everything, tracking number as well. I just feel ripped off, I am drowning in debt. I hate to answer the phone because even though I put myself in this situation, but it is so hard to get out when everyone is calling wanting money asll at once. I called 877-NO-DEBT8 and this lady told me I should consider filing bankruptcy. I'm 24 and I do not want it to affect me that drastically. She said it will stay o n my credit report for 8 years, but after that i would have a clean start. My life feels like it is over!!

Bk can stay on for 10 yrs. My attorney told me and this has been true so far. You can start gaining credit again after 2yrs. I did and I just made sure and still am keeping on my credit reports so that the info that was in the bk states that and not still owing or charged off. I am starting over again, Bk is a last resort if at all possible try other methods. But if all else fails you can start over again. I did and so far so good. Good Luck to you

I would strongly suggest you to consolidate your debts. You have experienced a bad thing already while applying for loan. Advance fee loans are very fishy. And a new loan to pay off your debts is not a good idea. You might end up paying $$ as interest only.

Bankruptcy would ruin your credit. Since you are quite young, consolidation would be the best deal for you. Fill out the registration form and you will receive free counseling in a couple of days.

BTW, who does the # 877-NO-DEBT8 belong to?
