You need to check to make sure it shows as paid on your credit report. I had a judgement that was paid in 2002 that did not show it was paid off. I'm not sure how it effects the points on your report, but it has to be better than not paid off.

Adelgado, no one can really say exactly how many points your score will go up. Also, keep in mind that the judgement will stay on your report even though it is paid (but it should be reported as paid). After the judgement falls off of your report, your score should increase even more.
