Just faxed a new letter to Asset...We'll see how this works.

I would like to thank you for complying with my validation requests and my cease and desist request. I am giving you permission to contact me by US Mail regarding this account. No telephone calls to my home or to my place of employment.
I would like to set up payment arrangements for payment in full, payable June 15 2006. I will provide you with my chosen method of payment upon acceptence of my request.
I have 2 accounts with your company for a total amount of $445.05. I will be paying this in full for 2 seperate SBC accounts.
In exchange for my payment I would like all derogatory information reported in my credit reports to be removed, and these accounts marked PAID AS AGREED. I am not interested in them being reported as SETTLEMENT. To mark my account as anything other than PAID AS AGREED and negative information not being removed will be a violation of this agreement.
I will look forward to your response in the mail within the next 30 days in order for me to give you my payment details by June 15.
Sincerly,
*ME*

Oh, I never thought about asking for things to be marked paid as agreed. I'm guessing the staff at T&C would make sure that is taken care of, since I'm working with them?

Is a faxed copy of an agreement acceptable. I always thought it needed to be an original, and sent CMRRR.

If these are debts which were purchased by this collector, you can force them to take their remarks off your credit report, but the creditor from whom they purchased the debt will still be on your report. This is why I say that it does no good to pay a junk debt buyer. The only thing that happens, is that they get richer.

This is my first attempt at "PAID AS AGREED" on one of these..Can't hurt to try...I'm hoping for the best here...They could come back and say they'll agree to "Paid in Full" or something...I'm not settling for settled though.
